This is really sad to watch, not only because of the two guys who get hurt but because of the sad example of human behavior on display, as these kids high five one another while ganging up on these two men.
The one guy with the lighter hair keeps his hands up and was big enough to deter immediate attack, but, like a pack of wolves bringing down a caribou, they eventually bring him down.
Because he stays in the area (probably trying to help his friend), defending but not attacking, someone eventually gets a shot to his head, he goes down, and they are kicking him and rifling his pockets.
But here we see the usual scenario. Punches to the head. Circling behavior. Kicking when they are down. No help from bystanders.
And how many opportunities did these guys have to get away? But it looks like they may have been having issues with drinking etc and not thinking too clearly – the wrong time to run into a group of predators.
Antidotes to this situation? Don’t go there. Leave immediately. If caught in the scenario, strike fast and hard and then leave immediately. Watch your back. But number one, leave ASAP.
